Since the beginning of KERBHOLZ it has been important to us to get to know the people behind the production of our products. For us, this also means knowing that they can build our watches under good conditions and in the best case even have as much fun at work as we do. ;-)

That's why we meet regularly with our partners, chat about news and develop exciting ideas and projects together. We see them as part of the big KERBHOLZ family and this is accompanied by mutual support for further improvements on both sides.

SHENZHEN - A MODERN HIGH-TECH METROPOLE WITH GREEN AMBITIONS

The first part of our journey takes us to South China, more precisely to Shenzhen. A city that was still a fishing village in the 80s and has developed into a real metropole with 13 million inhabitants in the last 30 years. The people of Shenzhen are young, dynamic, creative and one of the pioneers of sustainability - they are pursuing the idea of a green city, for example with the largest fleet of electric buses in the world or the construction of the new airport, which is powered by solar energy and collects and uses rainwater.

The majority of our watches are produced at this exciting location. And here we would like to show you that the modern cosmopolitan city of Shenzhen and its advanced productions no longer have anything in common with the formerly infamous "Made in China".

Therefore we had our photographer Marco Klahold with us during our last visit, who documented the production of our watches for you with his camera.
